You are encouraged to meet with a career counselor to develop your individualized job search plan. Your career counselor can help you clarify your career goals, identify relevant resources, and discuss strategies for your job search. To schedule an appointment, please call (805) 756-2501, ext. 4.

To get you started, some useful online resources are provided below. Please keep in mind that the most successful job searches involve a comprehensive approach (e.g. networking, career fairs, informational interviews). Plan to use a variety of job search strategies and resources rather than conducting your entire job search online.

MustangJOBS

MustangJOBS is Cal Poly Career Services’ online job database specifically for students and alumni.  Find and apply to on-campus and local part-time jobs, Federal Work Study jobs, internships, Co-ops, and career positions. MustangJOBS also provides access to On-Campus Interview signups, Company Networking Sessions, Career Fair information, and resume book opt-in.

Current students: Access MustangJOBS through the Cal Poly Portal.
Alumni: Find information on accessing MustangJOBS here.

Attention Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Students for Fall 2013: You will gain access to MustangJOBS in mid-July.

To learn how to perform advanced job searches and receive email alerts about jobs that match your criteria, view this MustangJOBS Tutorial.

As a Cal Poly student, you get exclusive access job postings through the The NACElink Network. NACElink is a national network of university career centers which connects you with over five million employers recruiting college students for all types of employment. Because Cal Poly is a NACElink member school, you can access to these resources which are not available publicly.

To tap into the NACELink Network, log on to MustangJOBS through my.calpoly.edu. Hover over the blue tab labeled “Jobs, Internships and On-Campus Interviews” and select “Expanded Job Search through NACELink Network.”
