Amie Hammond serves as the Career Counselor for the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences. She holds a B.A. in Kinesiology from Occidental College and an M.A. in Student Personnel Administration from New York University. She is also a Cal Poly Pride Ally. She also holds weekly drop-in hours in the MAP Center (Bldg. 10, rm. 134), on Thursdays from 10-11 a.m. (except finals week, breaks, and summer).

Amie’s Advice:

“Get involved on campus. I suggest joining two clubs or activities – one related to your major or future career, and one just for fun. Clubs and activities provide opportunities to gain hands-on experience in your field, meet industry contacts, develop your leadership skills, and make new friends. Not only will you enhance your resume, but you will acquire new skills and you’ll have a more well-rounded (and fun!) college experience.”
